I spent the Nixon administration as a politically aware teenager. It was a chilling time to be alive, and we didn't even know he was higher than we were!

There are many crazy stories, like that night he walked from the White House to the Lincoln Memorial to meet young protesters. They couldn't believe it.

In January ‘73, I was in DC protesting Nixon’s second inauguration. I didn’t get to see him - we had to march a block away - but I carried a coffin with Father Phillip Berrigan. How I hated Nixon!
